I took a picture a couple of days ago from the other side of Birchwood looking up at this tree half changed.  The reds are popping out everywhere.  This picture is dedicated to Rich and Gloria and Kathy, Jordan and Sarah.  Hope this makes your day a little brighter.  The only thing I can’t put into the blog is the smell of fall, you have to come up for that

Hope this entry is responsible bringing a little of the stress in the nation down a little bit.  I still think we could hold a summit on the playground with all the players, everyone bring a dish to pass, including George W and Laura, Obama, McCain, Nancy Pelosi, and all the rest of them.  When you are trusting that the casserole made by everyone else is good and you are eating it, it goes along way on trusting someone.

Did I mention I have 2 cabins open next weekend? and a bunch open up on Saturday the 4th. Anyone that books the ones on Saturday the 4th with a 2 night minimum get mid week rates Saturday night too

This is the maple tree by Birchwood’s porch. We are at about 40% of the trees changing. Hight of color will be in the next week. There is no better time to be at the resort

With temps hitting 80 today and 70 over the weekend it is a great time to be in the Northwoods. This is the cure for watching too much CNN lately. I am tempted to invite Washington to Black’s Cliff have everyone relax around a campfire and come up with a solution to the Big Bail Out. If they start fighting or shouting Poe can come over and give them one of the same looks that he gives me when I leave the driveway without him.
